POWER VACUUM OF THE RED COURT
It has been a few weeks since the annihilation of the Red Court and an abrupt end to the Vampire War. Right after, it seemed as though peace had come, but it turns out that was only the temporary silence of hastily re-made plans and the utter shock of it all. Now, the city is in chaos. The supernatural factions are all making a power play in attempt to claim the power the Red Court once had.
THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS
Something is ALWAYS happening in NYC. No matter if it’s 3:00 in the morning, or 3:00 in the afternoon, the city is constantly in motion. The vampire courts make war while the sleazy bankers of Goldman Sachs go about making ungodly amounts of money. Alligators prowl the City Sewers, praying on the ’Molemen’ and other denizens of The Underground. And then there’s the more conventional (and less supernatural) plots of terrorism, murder, and robbery that daily overtax the men and women of the NYPD and FBI. The city has an energy all its own, and that energy pervades every facet of life here. Something is ALWAYS happening in NYC…
THE CITY AT THE CENTER OF THE WORLD
New Yorkers like to think that their city is the center of the world. Nothing is as important as what happens here and fuck it, we could give a rats ass about the stuff that’s happening elsewhere. Don’t talk to me about Chicago! The downtown 6 train is running express to Brooklyn Bridge at 8:30 in the morning?! That is literally the WORST THING IN THE WORLD! Don’t tell them, but as it turns out, New Yorkers aren’t half wrong. New York City is a nexus both in the mundane world and in the supernatural one. And as New York goes, so goes the rest of the mortal world…
